What is SPRAVATO®?

SPRAVATO® (esketamine) is the first FDA-approved nasal spray medication for treatment-resistant depression in adults. It is used in conjunction with an oral antidepressant and is administered under clinical supervision.

SPRAVATO® has been shown to provide rapid relief of depressive symptoms for some individuals when other treatments have failed.

How long does SPRAVATO® treatment last?

The frequency and duration of treatment vary based on the individual's diagnosis and how they respond. For example, SPRAVATO® for treatment-resistant depression typically begins with twice-weekly sessions for the first month, followed by weekly or biweekly sessions during the maintenance phase. Ongoing treatment schedules are personalized to help sustain symptom relief and long-term progress, all under close clinical supervision.

Who is not a good candidate for SPRAVATO®?

Uncontrolled high blood pressure and serious heart or lung problems would need to be disclosed to your provider. You will fill out a health questionnaire and discuss your medical history and undergo a brief physical exam.

Is SPRAVATO® addictive?

Addiction has not been found when SPRAVATO® is used as prescribed, under medical supervision, and in accordance with the treatment protocols followed at our clinic. Each treatment is administered in a controlled clinical setting, and we work closely with your referring physician or mental health provider to ensure safety, monitor your progress, and support your overall care plan.
